The Michigan Lawsuit Abuse Watch has published the winners of its annual Wacky Warning Labels contest. Each year, M-LAW awards a copy of Philip K. Howard's bestselling book,
"The Death of Common Sense: How Law is Suffocating America" to the winner.

This year a heat gun used for paint removal bears the warning, "Do not use this tool as a hair dryer" has been awarded as the nation’s wackiest warning label. 2nd place goes to the "Never try to catch a falling knife" label found in the packaging of a kitchen knife. And a cocktail napkin featuring a map of the waterways around Hilton Head, South Carolina warns, "Caution: Not to be used for navigation."
